The Science Center on Hurtigruten Roald Amundsen

SCIENCE OF ALASKA

Amundsen Science Center is the core of your onboard experience, built to enrich your encounters with Nature. The Science Center is packed with state of the art technology and high tech gadgets such as touch screens and science equipment. This is where you and fellow guests and staff/crew meet, mingle and create a deeper understanding of the areas you explore. The flexible venue features lecture spaces, a small library (a great place to curl up and read!), and speciality areas for workshops in photography, biology, and more. This is also where you’ll find Hurtigruten’s hand-picked Expedition Team.

Wwe are proud to provide the chance to travel with meaning. Our experience has taught us that exploring these remote destinations first hand is intriguing, but understanding local nature, wildlife, history or culture will add so much more to your adventure. That’s why our Expedition Team hosts in-depth lectures and share specialist knowledge in the Science Center before and after landings. They also accompany you ashore and during activities and are there to enhance your experience.
