Making Your Reservation for Roamin' Reflection The following information will help you book your Roamin' Reflection Cruise properly and with minimal effort. Please read all the information carefully before completing the reservation form. At approximately two to four weeks prior to sailing you will receive your tickets. For those of you who have never cruised before, we'll send you a guide to the cruise in this same mailing. This guide includes important information such as: What to pack, specifics on tour excursions and prices, special guest lecturers, our Romain' Reflection sessions on board, and much more! Only passengers booked through Geek Cruises will be admitted to the Roamin' Reflection Conference. HOW
TO BOOK: (1.) TWO PERSONS SHARING THE SAME CABIN: Double occupancy means that two passengers will be sharing the same cabin. All cabins have either two lower beds, or beds that may convert to a double or queensize or king-size bed. (2.) TRIPLE AND QUAD OCCUPANCY: If three or four family members or friends wish to share the same cabin, they may do so. The third and fourth passenger rates are listed in the pricing information (see next column). (3.) GUARANTEED SHARE (GS) FARES: This plan is for passengers who are coming on a GEEK CRUISE by themselves and wish to share a cabin with another passenger. The prices are the same as the per person double occupancy rates. Be sure to check the box that says Guaranteed Share. NOTE: GS cabin assignments will be done at time of document issuance, only. You will be matched with members of the same gender, and we factor in age and geography where possible. If snoring is an issue, Geek Cruises provides free earplugs (29 decibel Noise Reduction Rating per ANSI S3.19-1974) to GS passengers on request. Guaranteed Shares are not always available if booking within 90 days of sailing. And Guaranteed Shares are not always available in cabins with verandahs. Share Passengers who smoke, are not to do so in the cabin, unless okayed by their roommates. (4.) SINGLE OCCUPANCY: This is for travelers who "like their space" and who wish to occupy a cabin by themselves. There is a single occupancy upcharge of 50% for "Inside" and "Outside cabins"; 100% for cabins with verandahs. (5.) PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED (PC): There are a very limited number of specially equipped cabins for the Physically Challenged. Please let us know your specific needs. (Sorry, but we are unable to offer PC Guarantee Shares.) Please allow seven to ten days for processing of payments. We'll mail out a receipt shortly after you book. To be confirmed on the cruise, we must have a fully completed Booking (below) along with your per person deposit. Passengers will receive cabin assignment upon booking but these cabin assignments are subject to change. Port charges and government taxes (stated below) are in addition to the per person cruise rates listed on this page. CRUISE PRICING INFORMATION Deposit: $600 per person, due at time of booking

3rd AND/OR 4th PERSON RATE: ages two (2) and older: $1,099; under 2 years old: $599 The Roamin' Reflection CONFERENCE FEE is $795. Only passengers booked through Geek Cruises will be admitted to the Roamin' Reflection. The Roamin' Reflection Conference fee subject to the following cancellation fees: $100 if canceling before March 1, 2006; $250 if canceling from March 1, 2006 to May 1, 2006; $495 if canceling after May 1. All conference cancellation fees, however, can be fully applied to a future Geek Cruise! ALUMNI DISCOUNTS: $25 discount given for each previous Geek Cruise attended. Minimum discount is $50 per person for previous Geek Cruisers. Maximum discount (including any Early-Bird discount) is 10% of the cruise fare. EARLY-BIRD DISCOUNT: $150 per person discount if booked before September 15, 2005. All adult "Third" and "Fourths" in a cabin for $899 — INCLUDING TAXES! SINGLE OCCUPANCY: 150% for standard inside and outside cabins; 200% for all cabins with a verandah. PORT CHARGES, TAXES & GRATUITIES: Port charges/taxes are $314.61 per person. For tipping, the cruise line charges $10 per day per person which will be added to your shipboard account once you board the ship. This covers your cabin steward as well as the dining room staff. FULL PAYMENT is due on April 1, 2006 (or, if you book after April 1, at the time of booking). The signed Insurance Waiver is due in the Geek Cruises office upon issuance and no later than the final payment date. FOREIGN SHIPPING FEES and ADDITIONAL PAYMENT INFORMATION: There is a foreign shipping charge of $60 (to cover the shipping of your cruise tickets, via FedX) per foreign residence ($35 per Canadian residence). Payments may be made by check, money order, or major credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover, Diners Club, or American Express). Checks are to be made payable to Int'l Technology Conferences, in US dollars only, and drawn on a US bank. Sorry, no exceptions. There is a $25 charge for returned checks. Any fees or charges related to check payments or wire transfers will be charged back to your invoice. AIR ADD-ONS: Airfare from most major cities is available through the cruise line. You can call our office for this pricing. (These rates include transfers to/from the dock/airport.) In most cases, however, you will find better airfares on your own. Online travel sites such as Expedia.com or Travelocity.com are excellent resources. PRE- and POST-CRUISE HOTEL STAYS and SHUTTLE SERVICE: Sightsee Rome and/or "break bread" with fellow Geek Cruisers at our pre-cruise reception (see below). NOTE: The airport, central Rome, and the pier sit on three corners of a triangle. Each arm of the triangle is at least 25 miles and can take up to one hour of transit time. The transfer from downtown Rome to the pier is via the airport (this is the only way given the terrain) and takes at least two hours. Holland America (HAL) provides shuttles between these three places. Each shuttle ride is about $100; but both the shuttle from the airport to the hotel and then from the hotel to pier is included in the hotel prices below. If you stay in your own hotel, you can purchase a shuttle to the pier from HAL. Contact Geek Cruises for up-to-the-minute details.
PRE-CRUISE COCKTAIL PARTY $59. Take this opportunity to meet the speakers and your fellow Geek Cruisers. The reception will be held in the PRE-CRUISE HOTEL the night before departure. Premium beer, wines, mixed drinks, and hot and cold hors d'oeuvres will be served. WHAT'S INCLUDED? All your food, baseball cap for every passenger, onboard Roamin' Reflection cocktail party, all your entertainment, room service, outrageous scenery and more! Your bar bill, casino action, beauty parlor visits, shore excursions, and any expenses of a personal nature are the only extras. IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Every passenger must have a valid passport and any required visas when boarding the vessel. All travel documents such as passports, visas, proof of citizenship, etc., that are required for embarkation, disembarkation at the ports of call, and re-entry into the United States are the responsibility of the passenger. Non U.S. citizens are asked to please check with government agencies, embassies or consulates to determine documentary requirements. You will be denied boarding without proper proof of citizenship. CRUISE CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS, INSURANCE
and CHANGES: After booking, a Cancellation Processing Fee (CP fee)
of $100 per person will be assessed (but will be applied towards any
future Geek Cruise); between April 1, 2006 and 50 days before commencement
of travel, $600 will be assessed; from 49 – 30 days before commencement of travel, 50% of the gross fare will be assessed; from 29 – 20 days before commencement of travel, 80% of the gross fare will be assessed; 19 days or less before commencement of travel, 100% of gross fare is assessed. After full or final payment
date, all invoices will be subject to a minimum charge of $50 for any
changes. To protect against cancellation penalties,
Trip Cancellation & Interruption insurance is available and strongly recommended.
Geek Cruises provides access to this insurance; Trip Cancellation brochures
are included with your initial invoice. A signed Insurance Waiver
is due in the Geek Cruises office upon issuance of same. Travel documents
will not be released and your booking is subject to cancellation unless
we receive the Insurance Waiver. |
